Plasmonic lattice Kerker effect in ultraviolet-visible spectral range

Mostly forsaken, but revived after the emergence of all-dielectric nanophotonics, Kerker effect can be observed in a variety nanostructures from high-index constituents with strong electric and magnetic Mie resonances. A necessary requirement for existence response limits use generally nonmagnetic conventional plasmonic effect. In spite this, we demonstrate here lattice regular Al nanostructures. Collective oscillations emerging delicate interplay between Rayleigh anomalies localized surface plasmon resonances both dipoles, quadrupoles result suppression backscattering broad spectral range. Variation geometrical parameters arrays allows tailoring throughout UV visible wavelength ranges, which is close to impossible achieve using other or materials.
